Crawfish Cafe

Craving some spicy crawfish while in Houston. Been a while and this place totally hit the spot for a friends’ reunion. Danny our server was great and took care of us by his patience in explaining all the options to us. Fantastic array of available seafood and sides choices. Garlic grilled oysters, and the fish sauce wings were a great addition. We had the shrimp, mussels and crawfish options. My spicy with ‘The Mix’ seasoning was off the charts good! Highly recommend!!

Before leaving Houston,I wanted to eat some Cajun food. Not too many good ones in Illinois. My family brought me to this place, Viet Cajun cuisine. When you walk in, lots of places to sit. The menu has a lot of options so we decided to get a variety of items to try. Honestly, it’s hard to find a favorite dish as each dish was different and equally as delicious as the other. For the po boys I love how soft and crispy the French bread is. Seafood was all fresh, nothing was old. Service was great, very nice ladies. Our server made sure our drinks were filled and our food came out fast. Prices were very fair. -garlic noodles 5/5 - i love these noodles. Creamy and buttery. Garlic taste was not subtle. -crawfish eggrolls 5/5 - i love how prominent the crawfish flavor is, that dipping sauce made it more flavorful. -Shrimp boil - shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausage 5/5 - one of the best boils I’ve ever had. Just the right amount of spices and seasonings. -Grilled shrimp po boy with Cajun fries 5/5 - fresh shrimp perfectly grilled. Cajun fries better than Popeyes. Ample portion. -50/50 po boy with Cajun rice 5/5 - fried half oysters half shrimp. Not greasy. Superb combination. Don’t sleep on that Cajun rice. Sufficient amount of andouille sausage. -wings 5/5 - crispy, crunchy, and just the right amount of sauce. Meat was moist.

Food and service amazing! Crawfish bread, oyster nachos, gumbo, shrimp smack bowl and garlic noodles with shrimp...ALL DELICIOUS!!! I don't even eat fried oysters but I did tAday, what a delectable spin on single nachos! A must have! Everything about this place is 5-stars. The boil was buttery and had a kick. We got two pounds of headless shrimp with signature spicy sauce and a basket of Cajun fried calamari and it was absolutely delicious. Our server was also super nice, they gave us a cup of water to go when we checked out as it was super hot outside without us having to ask. The service was impeccable.
